Nuova Fonderia di Castenedolo: ingot mould and iron cast
Nuova Fonderia di Castenedolo, established in 1938, is an historic Italian ingot mould and cast iron foundery. After different phases and changes, in 1994 thanks to the entrepreneurial spirit of Dr. Pietro Piccioli, the foundry develops reaching its present maximum yearly output of about 25,000 tons. It's now a big ingot mould and cast iron foundery.
The factory is in the outskirts of Brescia, a few miles away for the main motorways. Its present total surface is more than 280,000 m2 of which 20,000 covered. Nuova Fonderia di Castenedolo has always produced ingot mould, slag pots, plates, counter plates, sprues and other iron casting. Production plants, located in Castenedelo, allow a maximum production capacity up to 100 tons for each hematite casting and up to 30 tons for spheroidal casting.
The following production departments are present in the corporate headquarters: patterns and cores, castings plants, tapping and other workings made possible by the use of two vertical lathes, four boring machines, a 2000x2000 hacksaw and a 100 T GT sandblast.
Thanks to the high quality of its production processes, of its final product and of its different workings, Nuova Fonderia di Castenedolo got EN ISO 9001:2008 quality certification and CER waste collection permit.
